I am a big fan of classic straigh-ahead jazz and Miles Davis. I drew this in my kitchen in Norfolk, VA, over several sessions, from the album cover photo of Miles Davis' "Round About Midnight". Drawn with pencil/charcoal. The work depicts him in the late 1950\'s era of this influential musician and captures the dark side of Davis. \"A legend is an old man with a cane known for what he used to do. About Michael Morgan
Michael Morgan currently lives in Virginia Beach, VA. At 40 years old, he has developed many different styles and themes and his more recent works particularly exercise abstract expressionism and portraits of famous individuals. He studied art at Hampton High School and Mount Saint Mary's University. His favorite types of art are Surrealism and Expressionism and his artwork has been accepted and included in a number of shows, with several awards along the way. He is also currently the member of several local art organizations with pieces showing in several galleries. Michael's primary media is pencil, pen/ink and acrylic painting.
