This oil pastel was done for the 2011 Hampton Bay Days Festival Poster Contest in Hampton, VA. It got selected into the top 5. I call it "Favorite Moments" because I would go to Bay Days when I grew up in Hampton and the fireworks is a prominent memory of mine going to the annual Bay Days Festival. The picture is from a scene of downtown Hampton, VA by the bay with the Crowne Plaza and boating dock.
